Recognized variety nameWhat does this mean?

“Sicilian 33” is a known fig variety name. It’s on FigStead’s variety list.

This checks the name only. It doesn’t confirm the plant is that variety: FigStead doesn’t inspect what sellers ship. If it matters, ask the seller where the plant came from.

Description

This auction is for a Sicilian 33 fig tree which is actively growing outdoors in our high tunnel under 50% shade cloth. Tree should be acclimated gradually to your local conditions upon arrival. Foliar feeding has begun using fish emulsion, kelp, cal mag and micronized sulfur so leaves may have a whitish brown film which is normal. We are a certified plant nursery in South Carolina and ship to all states except AZ/AK/HI. Please pay within 24 hours of purchase as we ship out orders on Monday and Tuesday each week. Tracking number will be attached to the invoice once shipping label has been created and sent to you by message. I'm trustyfarms on OurFigs and FigFanatic.

Where this can ship

Ships to all 51 US states and DC.

Checked against the National Plant Board state summaries (opens in a new tab), last reviewed August 27, 2026. This is a platform default, not legal advice, and the Plant Board says its own summaries are not legally binding. Your state is checked again against the real delivery address after payment, and an order that can't legally travel is refunded rather than shipped. How buying works.

If something goes wrong

Plants die in transit, parcels go missing, and occasionally someone sends the wrong thing. In order, this is what you do.

  1. Message the seller. Use the button on this listing, so the conversation stays attached to the order. Most problems are a misunderstanding, and most sellers would rather replace a plant, or refund you, than carry a complaint.
  2. Failing that, your card issuer. Every payment here runs on a card through Stripe, so you keep the chargeback rights that come with it. You raise them with the bank that issued the card, which is the party actually holding the money. This is the reason to pay through checkout rather than by any transfer a seller suggests instead. Your order page walks you through it and names the card you used.
  3. Report it to us. Report a problem on the order. It is not a refund request and it does not open a claim. It is how we find out, and it is the only way we can act.
  4. What we do about it. A seller who repeatedly ships dead material, ships the wrong variety, or does not ship at all loses the ability to sell here. On a small marketplace that is the only real currency there is, and it is why reporting matters even when your own order gets sorted out.

Being straight about the limit: FigStead is the venue, not the seller. We never hold your money, never see the plant, and cannot reverse a payment or decide who is right about what was in the box, which is exactly why steps 1 and 2 are where they are. The formal version is in the Terms, and Staying safe has the longer walkthrough.
