Description
Terms & Conditions Product Information All trees are shipped in 4” x 4” x 9” containers, made from either hard or soft (cuttable) plastic. Customers will receive the exact rooted cutting shown in the listing photographs. All varieties are guaranteed true to type. Tree Health Notice All trees are sold with the acknowledgment that they may carry Fig Mosaic Virus (FMV), even if no symptoms are present. FMV is common among fig trees and, with proper care and nutrition, typically does not negatively affect growth or fruit production. No refunds or replacements will be provided for FMV-related concerns. Care Instructions To ensure the health and survival of your tree: • Do not transplant (“up-pot”) the tree for at least four (4) weeks after receipt. • If placed outdoors, trees must be kept in a warm, shaded area for a minimum of two (2) weeks to acclimate to local UV exposure (“hardening off”). • Water with a fertilizer solution (¼ teaspoon per gallon) using a balanced product such as Jack’s 20-20-20 or equivalent every time you water. • Allow the pot to dry until it weighs approximately one (1) pound give or take before watering again to avoid root rot. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in tree loss. I am not responsible for losses due to improper care. Shipping Policy Orders completed and paid by 10:00 PM CST on Friday will ship the following Saturday. However, I may ship sooner if possible. • Shipping is conducted via UPS with an estimated delivery window of 3–4 business days; however, delays may occur beyond my control. • Shipments will not occur if local or destination temperatures are 32°F or lower. The shipment will be held and delayed for more favorable weather. Customers are advised to monitor their local weather conditions prior to ordering. • Due to postal uncertainties, the purchase of FigBid’s Route shipping insurance at checkout is strongly encouraged. I assumes no responsibility for shipping delays, damages, losses, or stolen packages once the item is handed over to the carrier. Any claims must be filed directly with the carrier or the FigBid route shipping insurance provider if coverage was purchased. Packaging Information In order to fit within a standard 24” shipping container, trees may be trimmed or gently bent based on shoot flexibility. • If you prefer an extended-length shipping container (up to 36”), please request a price adjustment before completing payment. Restrictions • No international shipping is available at this time. • No shipments of rooted cuttings will be made to HI, AK, CA, AZ, PR, Guam, or the Marshall Islands. • However, standard cuttings can be shipped to CA and AZ. All you have to do is reach out to me and I will temporarily disable the block for your purchase. Guarantee I stand by the quality of my trees and offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. Please contact me within 24 hours of delivery with any concerns. After 24 hours, no claims can be accepted. Contact Information For questions or additional information, please feel free to contact me directly. I am known as Italian4u on the Ourfigs forum or “The Figfather” by the many who know me.
Where this can ship
Ships to 47 of 51 US states and DC.
Not to: AK, AZ, CA and HI
Why these states
- Affects: AK — AlaskaAZ — ArizonaCA — CaliforniaHI — HawaiiThis seller does not ship to this state.
This seller holds a state nursery licence. Some states that require a phytosanitary certificate on incoming nursery stock are open to them for that reason.
Checked against the National Plant Board state summaries (opens in a new tab), last reviewed August 27, 2026. This is a platform default, not legal advice — the Plant Board says its own summaries are not legally binding. Your state is checked again against the real delivery address after payment, and an order that can't legally travel is refunded rather than shipped. How buying works.
Shipping policy
I recommend purchasing the FigStead shipping insurance to protect your purchase in transit. I am not responsible for damage to your package in transit and the shipping insurance protects your cuttings or trees.
If something goes wrong
Plants die in transit, parcels go missing, and occasionally someone sends the wrong thing. In order, this is what you do.
- Message the seller. Use the button on this listing, so the conversation stays attached to the order. Most problems are a misunderstanding, and most sellers would rather replace a plant than carry a complaint.
- Failing that, your card issuer. Every payment here runs on a card through Stripe, so you keep the chargeback rights that come with it — raised with the bank that issued the card, which is the party actually holding the money. This is the reason to pay through checkout rather than by any transfer a seller suggests instead.
- Report it to us. Report a problem on the order. It is not a refund request and it does not open a claim — it is how we find out, and it is the only way we can act.
- What we do about it. A seller who repeatedly ships dead material, ships the wrong variety, or does not ship at all loses the ability to sell here. On a small marketplace that is the only real currency there is, and it is why reporting matters even when your own order gets sorted out.
Being straight about the limit: FigStead is the venue, not the seller. We never hold your money, never see the plant, and cannot reverse a payment or decide who is right about what was in the box — which is exactly why steps 1 and 2 are where they are. The formal version is in the Terms, and Staying safe has the longer walkthrough.
