Be ready to check out

Create your free account now, while it's quiet. On sale day you'll go straight from a grower's list to checkout instead of confirming an email while the varieties you came for sell.

How the sale works

  1. Pick a grower

Each grower in the sale has one list of cuttings, one row per variety, with the number of cuttings they have of each.

  2. Take as many as you like

Add any mix of varieties from that grower and pay once. One order, one parcel, postage priced per cutting.

  3. Check it can reach you

Each grower lists the states they can't ship cuttings to. Some states restrict incoming plant material, so read that before you pay.

Why January? Cuttings are taken from dormant trees in winter, so this is the freshest wood of the year and the right time to start rooting. New to it? The growing FAQ covers rooting your first cuttings.

Growing figs? Sell in the sale

Any approved FigStead seller can take part, on the same terms as everyone else: build a Cuttings Galore list — one row per variety — before Friday, January 15. Listing is free, and there's no FigStead selling fee until Mar 1, 2027. Chicago Figs, the founder's own collection, takes part on exactly those terms too.
